COCAMS/NWA Winter Snowfall Contest Winner is Kevin Kloesel!!

Contestents were asked to predict the date of the first frozen precipitation, measured at Will Rogers World Airport (KOKC). Entries were due by COB on November 12.

The first measurable frozen precipitation occurred on January 10, 2011 at KOKC, when 0.2" of snow was observed. Please refer to the NWS-OUN climate page and look under the preliminary climate data (LCD F6 form) for verification of this data.

Congratulations to Kevin Kloesel for guessing the *exact* date of the first frozen precipitation at KOKC Will Rogers World Airport! He will be awarded a very nice snow brush/scraper, courtesy of COCAMS/NWA.
